If you didn’t notice yet, the last patterns I created are quick projects to knit like this free knitting pattern cowl. They are fast to make and easy!

As you, sometimes I need a no-brainer project. A project I find relaxing to create and knit. They are always made with only two or three different stitches on a large number of rows.

Here’s what you have to know for knitting this neck warmer

The finished size is about:

Length: 52 inches (132 cm)
Width: 10,5 inches (26.5 cm)

The gauge is 19 sts for 4 inches (10 cm). Take time to knit a swatch before.

Level of difficulty: Beginner to intermediate because of the yo, the k2tog, ssk and the knit in front and back of the stitch.

This pattern is available in English and French written instructions.

 

Yarn and notions

Yarn: Highland Wool

• 615 yards (564 m)
• Worsted / 9 wpi
• Texture: Plied
• 100% Wool

 

Notions:

• 2 needles size US 7 (4,5 mm) or circular needles (same size) if you prefer them
• scissors
• 1 tapestry needle to weave in ends
• 2 buttons of 1 inch (25 mm)

 

 

Stitches used to knit this snood

• knit (k)
• purl (p)
• yarn over (yo)
• knit 2 together (k2tog)
• slip slip knit (ssk)

CO 42 sts

K 14 rows

Row 15: k into front and back of each st

Row 16: p all sts

Row 17: k all sts

Row 18: p all sts

Row 19: k all sts

Row 20: p all sts

Row 21: k2tog to end

Rows 22 – 23 – 24 – 25 – 26: k all sts

 

Repeat rows 15-26 until you reach 50,5 inches (128,5 cm)

 

BUTTONHOLES

– k5, k2tog, yo twice, ssk, k5, k2tog, yo twice, ssk, k to end – k all sts to the first double yo, k and p into this yo, k to the next
 double yo, k and p into the double yo, k to end

– k all sts for 5 rows

 

BO all sts loosely and weaves in ends.

Le patron de tricot pour un col, le Burgundy Cowl

Si vous ne l’avez pas encore remarqué, les derniers patrons que j’ai créés sont des projets rapides et faciles à tricoter.

Je les trouve relaxant. Ils sont faits avec deux ou trois différents points qu’on répète sur un grand nombre de rangs. Ce sont des projets sans prise de tête pour les soirs où vous n’arrivez pas à vous concentrer ! :)

Ce col mesure environ :

Longueur : 132 cm (52 pouces)
Largeur : 26,5 cm (10,5 pouces)

L’échantillon est de 19 m. = 10 cm (4 pouces). Prenez le temps de tricoter un échantillon.

Degré de difficulté : Débutant à intermédiare à cause jeté, du tricoter 2 mailles ensemble, du ggt (glisse, glisse, tricote, j’ai trouvé une video pour vous montrer comment faire).

Ce patron est disponible avec les instructions écrites en français et en anglais.

• 1 aiguille à tapisserie pour rentrer les fils
