The last crochet motif pattern I posted here is on July 5th… some weeks ago.

What have I learned with this little motif? How to make a spike stitch. This word always makes me smile because when I hear it, I saw hair spikes or spikes on shoes or a jacket, not on a crochet motif! ;)

To show you, I found a tutorial for how to make the spike stitch.

The first motif I crochet was completely in blue and when I have the idea to make this elongated stitch, I took another color. With this stitch, it’s always better to make it in another color.

For a good-looking finish, try the invisible join in the round technique.

I love to create little motifs and often, I never know how it will finish. When I begin a motif, I have a good idea but I never finish with what I have in my head! With this one, I began with one coming from the Book: Beyond the Square Crochet Motifs: 144 circles, hexagons, triangles, squares, and other unexpected shapes. My favorite crochet book!

Aujourd’hui, c’est une bonne journée pour les amoureux des petits motifs au crochet! :)

Mais pourquoi ? Parce que c’est la journée du patron gratuit ! :)

Le dernier patron que j’ai posté date du 5 juillet dernier, il y a quelques semaines déjà.

Qu’est-ce que j’ai appris avec ce motif ? Comment faire le “spike” stitch. Ce mot me fait toujours sourire car lorsque je le lis, je vois des cheveux avec des spikes, des souliers ou un veston pas un petit motif au crochet ! ;)

Pour vous montrer ce point, j’ai trouvé ce tutoriel :  How to make the spike stitch.

Le premier motif que j’ai fait était complètement bleu et quand j’ai eu l’idée d’y intégrer ce point allongé, j’ai choisi une autre couleur. Avec ce point, il est préférable de choisir deux couleurs pour qu’on le voit bien.

Pour une belle finition, essayez la technique suivante : The invisible join in the round technique.
