Here’s a knitting cowl that reminds a crochet stitch, but made with the two needles you are so used to! :)

 

 

How can you wear the Chocolate Cowl?

This cowl has a surprise for you!

You can also wear it as an infinity scarf. You knit it in the round, and when it’s time to wear it, you can choose to wrap it once or twice to give the impression of an infinity scarf, or a cowl. The buttons attached to the strip are just decorative.

 

 

What do you need to know about this pattern?

The finished size is about:

Length: 52 (139 cm)
Width: 11 inches (20 cm)

The gauge in pattern is 22 sts for 4 inches (10 cm). Take time to knit a swatch before.

Level of difficulty: Beginner to Intermediate (because of the p2tog)

This pattern is available in English and French written instructions.

 

 

What do you need for knitting this infinity scarf?

• 436 yards (400 m) of 100% merino wool. I used the Naturally Pride yarn.
• DK / 8 ply (11 wpi)
• Texture: Crepe
• 2 needles size US 7 (4,5 mm) or circular needles (same size) if you prefer them
• 1 stitch marker
• scissors
• 1 tapestry needle to weave in ends
• 2 buttons (1 inch). They can be smaller because they are there only for decoration.

 

 

Finally, which stitches do you need to know to knit it?

• knit (k)
• purl 2 stitches together (p2tog)
